Fall Lip Colors

I decided, very early on, just to accept life unconditionally; I never expected
it to do anything special for me, yet I seemed to accomplish far
 more than I had ever hoped. Most of the time it just
happened to me without my ever seeking it.

The first is Tarte Glamazon Pure Performance 12 hour Lip Stick in the color Playful Purple Rose. It goes on incredibly smooth and is very hydrating. It stays on very well with the exceptional lip touch up. This is the perfect Mauve color for fall that gives a more noticeable color. 

Next is Loreals Colour Riche in the color Saucy Mauve. This is extremely pigmented and is true to color. While it doesn't stay on very long it is very hydrating and smooth. This is a more subtle mauve and is very natural for fall. 

 

The third is the Tarte Glamazon pue performance 12 hour Lipstick in the color Wild (Cool Red). This is the same line as the first color and has all of the same benefits. However this color is more of a in your face color. It is the classic red lip only fall addition with the blue undertones. This is perfect for fall.

 

The final product is the Milani Color Statement Lipstick in the color Raspberry Rush. This product truly feels so amazing on your lips and nourishes them while you wear. This color is the perfect Berry color for the fall season. The color goes on very bold as well and is good for this seasons look.

Sebastian Volupt Volume Shampoo & "Holy Grail"

This shampoo has quickly become my favorite shampoo I have ever tried. Before I get started on how well it works I just want to say how good it smells! It isn't some fruity, it is very clean and purfumey. The reason why I tried this product is because I have very thin and fine hair which causes my hair to look extremely lifeless. I search and searched for shampoos that helped fine hair and this one really stood out. It not only leaves my hair feeling so weightless and giving it good volume, but it leaves it feeling very clean feeling and has no oily residue some conditioners tend to leave.

5 Drugstore Mascaras That Actually Work!

Drug store mascaras are honestly some of the best around. And who can argue with the price compared to some of the higher end lines. These are my favorite mascaras that work amazingly and are worth a shot:

Physicians formula: 100% natural ingredients. Very buildable and create thick dramatic looking lashes that don't flake. Because of the natural ingredients it helps keep your lashes conditioned and doesn't damage them.  

Revlon lash potion: Has strengthening proteins that gives your lashes a lush and voluminous look. Triple groove wand combs through lashes for a clump free length. Only one coat is needed for a look. 

Almay get up and grow: Has lash conditioning powers that makes your lashes grow stronger every day. All day clump free wear. 

Wet n wild mega volume water proof 

mascara: This is a good volumizing mascara that doesn't flake or clump and works very well for the price. 

Maybelline  Colossal Volume Express: 

Provides a clump free look that has collagen that helps plump up the look up your lashes even further. 

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

The Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer has become a favorite of mine. First off lets talk about how easy to use it is. All you have to do is twist the applicator and the product will dispense up onto the spongy tip and then you can apply it to your problem areas directly. It has amazing coverage and wears incredibly well. It really doesn't crease up on me and doesn't fade and feels pretty light. It was definitely a good price for this product. 

The only complaint I have about this product is that since you need to twist the applicator to dispense the product, which in turn pushes down on a little thing on the inside of the tube that dispenses the product up through the tube, a lot of product gets left behind in the tube which is in reachable. So I guess if I want it ill have to some how break it open to get it. Cause it really is a lot of product left behind!

But other than that I love this product and will continue to buy it if it isn't to hard or messy reaching the rest of the product! 

By the way it is about $8 at your local drugstore! 

Olay Fresh Effects Va-Va-Vivid Powered Contour Cleansing System

This kit is meant to give you the ability to fit the contours of your face and deep clean around the T-zone and other heard to teach areas for a full face cleansing. It is supposed to take dirt, oil and makeup out if your pores and reveal a healthy looking glow. 

So here is what comes in the kit. 

Both of these items can be used together are separate. However you prefer to clean your face.

So lets start off with the brush tool. 

The brush is shaped so that it has the ability to fit all the grooves of your face. The bristles on it are made of soft little pieces of rubber I think and those vibrate when the brush is turned on. It is a very gentle vibrate and feels really good on the skin while at the same time you can tell it is really worked the face wash down in to your skin. It is super easy to clean too. What I do is just take a little bit of soap and run it through and then rinse it out. What I like about this took is it runs off battery and can be kept up in maintenance so easily. Also if you don't like the scrub that comes with it you can use your own that you really love and take it to the next level with this cleansing tool. 

Next is the face wash. It is the Olay Fresh Effects Shine Shine go away face wash. It is a shine minimizing cleanser that is meant to be out directly on the the head of the brush and worked into the skin. It honestly smells really good. It has a clean fresh smell and feels really good on my face. I could tell a difference right after my shower cause my face just seemed dryer. And not in a dry skin way but like it took all the extra oils out of my skin and left it soft and smooth. 

I really recommend this product so far however time tells all and we will see how well it continues to work for me in the future. 

Mini Haul!

So I went shopping and as you can see I didn't pick up too much stuff. But what I am most excited about is the face washes. So lets start off with those first! 

I got the Olay fresh effects Va-Va-Vivid powered contour cleansing system. It comes with a little cleansing brush and then a shine minimizing cleanser. Ill be doing a first impressions and reviews in this one later. But it was only $10 and I got it at Walmart. 

Next I got the Equate blemish control apricot scrub that is a copy if the St. Ives face scrub. I use to have the St. Ives version a long time ago and absolutely loved it. So I wanted to try it again, but as a girl on a budget I went for the cheaper Equate version because Equate products usually work just as well! 

Then being a cheap person like I am I got the Elf Daily Brush Cleaner. It was only like $3 I believe at Walmart but honestly I wouldn't pay any more for it than that because I clean my brushes regularly anyways so what is the point in spending alot of money on a spot cleaner when this cheap one works just as well. 

And finally I picked up another lipstick. It is the Maybelline Coral Gleam 730 colorsensational. It is just a really pretty dark peachy nude color that has a little but of shimmer to it. I got It at Walmart for almost $6.

Physicians Formula Organic Wear Jumbo Lash Mascar

This Mascara is so amazing it has made me a one type of mascara buying kind of girl. It is first off in the cutest little tube ever. But most importantly it is organic. Regular mascaras are drying and cause your lashes to become brittle and break off. But this is 100% free of harsh chemicals, synthetic preservatives, and parabens. It doesn't flake or smudge and because of the it is totally buildable to really make your eye lashes dramatic. The wand has the most amazing applicator ever and creates the most voluminous eye lashes ever! Also the brush itself is recyclable. This mascara is just so amazing I can't say enough good about! You can get it at target and Walmart for about 8 dollars so it is also relatively cheap.

Favorite of the Week: Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede

The Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede in the color 040 Flashing lights is just so gorgeous. I wear it everyday and I get so many compliments. This color is kind of like a peachy nude. It goes on so smoothly then dries like a lip stain and stays on all day. It has a little bit of shimmer in it so I don't even need to wear a gloss on top. This color is the perfect summer lip. 

April's Yes, No and Maybe So

Hello all! Here are the products that I have used in April that I may or may not have liked. I hope you enjoy this and I hope that this helps you decide what to buy if you were interested in any of these items yourself! Also if you have anything that you loved, leave it in the comments section!

 

 

First thing I loved were my new glasses that I got! They are the Ray Bans glasses with a wide rim and wide lens. I absolutely love these! They were kind of expensive, but hey they are in style right now and are honestly just a great pair of glasses. They are a big YES!

 

 

The Second item that is a big yes, was the Ponds Luminous Clean face wash. This product is so cream and smooth and feels amazing on my face. It is very gentle, but made to take off all of my makeup. It leaves my face feeling so fresh and moisturized. My face has cleared up so much just because of the ability to get all of my makeup off and out of my pores. I will definitely be re-purchasing this.

 

The next item is the NYC Sky Rise Mascara. This was definitely a no for me. The product it self left a flakey look to my eye lashed and did not make my lashes look any longer. I found my self having to put multiple coats on just to add and definition or thickness to my lashes. This did absolutely nothing for me.

 

Sorry that this next picture is upside down, however; the bright side is that this item was a Yes! It is the Maybelline Full N' Soft Mascara. This mascara is suppose to make lashes stronger and thicker after a couple of weeks and yes it does! Many reason that eye lashes become so brittle is because when mascara is put on, it dries into a thick coating around the last, and when bent the mascara breaks off the eye lash. However, this mascara has a flex formula the leaves the eye lashes bendable. Not only is it good for healthy eye lashes but it also leaves them looking full and thick.

 

 

This next item is a maybe for me. It is the Rimmel Scandaleyes Jumbo Eye shadow stick in the color white. It leaves a great color however the consistency of this product is a little goopy at first and can crease. Also if it gets into your eyes it burns like nobody's business. However it stays on for a long time and doesn't fade.

 

On a off note I had to throw in something that was not beauty related. I know that this movie has been out for a while but it is so amazing. Water for Elephants has easily become one of my favorite movies recently. The acting in this is so incredible and who doesn't love Reese Witherspoon. The plot is great and it doesn't leave you disappointed like I thought it would. Big yess!

 

Okay so I know that these have been around for a while and that obviously those of you who has tried these know that they work great. But for those of you who haven't and think that you can get by with a oily forehead or just reapplying makeup. Think again. These Clean and Clear oil absorbing pads work so well at getting rid of oily looking skin without taking of your makeup. They are cheap and affordable and save yourself time from wasting face product when your face gets a little oily. These work really well for me when I am out and want to take pictures as well.

 

I know that everyone has seen these around and just to jump on the bandwagon here I have to say I love these Maybelline Baby Lips. They smell so amazing and feel so great on my lips. They are so smooth to apply and leave a perfect tint of color on my lips without looking like I tried too hard to get ready.

 

The next product that I have really like this month is the Revlon Photoready face powder. It is really good at covering up imperfections on my skin. It isn't a matt face powder however. It does have a little shimmer in it but it isn't over powering. It comes across quite beautifully in pictures and just kid of gives your skin a glowing look.

 

Ok so now you would think that since I loved the powder that the foundation would be great too but it just wasn't! It is the Revlon Photoready airbrush foundation. You push the pump and it comes out in a foam consistency. When I put it on my face it immediately starts turning into a very liquidy and runny substance. Whenever I have it all blended out it is like it doesn't dry  at all. It smears so easily and just leaves my face looking extremely dirty and oily. This product is a big fat no!

Spring Nail Polishes!

Spring and Summer weather is here and I am loving the spring nail polish colors. Pastels are all my favorite colors and I had to go out and by some new ones.
These are the Sally Hansen hard as nails nail polishes. I got each of these from target for about 2 dollars each. Which is so cheep. I was a little skeptical at how cheep they were quality wise but honestly they are great. One coat gave really great coverage and they lasted a long time without chipping.
The color on the left is Mint sorbet, the color in the middle is called Lacy Lilac, and the color on the right is called Breezy.

Bath and Body Works!

 

Ok I have been a little crazed with all of the Bath and Body Works candles lately. Where I live it has been snowing like crazy laely and I have in desperate need for summer. Whenever I light this candle I seriously feel so much better. This candle smells so good! It is exactly what I think of when I think of summer or a tropical island maybe!

My Obsession!

Ok so here is the deal. Basically I am trying to diet... and I know that these are high in sugar but I am using these as meal replacements and not just as a regular drink. Seriously though these are so delicious I drink these all the time! They are kind of expensive as a drink... they are about 3.50 but as a meal it is really cheap. After drinking these I always feel so much better too! They do have ones that have more vegatables in them or are all vegatables and are much better for you calorie wise but hey I am starting to work out and if these are at least making me feel better and filling me up than these are a win to me!
