DIY refurbished desk. Quick and easy way to paint it

DIY painted desk. My original desk is from Walmart. Just search black desk. But anyways the black looked good with my room when I got it but recently I switched bedrooms at my house and took the opportunity to re decorate. So the black no longer went with my room and I decided to do all white furniture. But I just did not have the time to sand this baby down so I went and looked at spray paint. I found a brand that worked well on finished woods that required little to no sanding. So I gave it a shot.

What you'll need:
One can of primer
One- two cans of white spray paint
One can of a clear coat

(The picture above is the primer and paint I used. The brand is Rust-oleum. The clear coat was in the same line I just don't have a photo.)

Tips: make sure you are doing it in a well ventilated area and do not do it in an area that it hot. The paint will separate and not stick.
Spray in even, short and straight lines so that the finished looked is nicer looking.

Before Desk:

Coat one of primer:

Coat one of white spray paint:

Coat two of white spray paint:

Then I touched up some areas and spray a clear coat:

Finished product! It turned out really well and I love it!:

Layered Drinks For the Holidays

Layered drinks are a really simple and cute way to spice up the way your drinks look. It's a way of making your drink look festive for the holiday or whatever the event may be without trying to hard.

So what you will need:
•Different kind of drinks in the colors you want to do it in.
-Good drinks to use are cranberry juice, piƱa colada sobe and blue Gatorade.
•Ice
Easy enough right? So now what to do?

Directions

•Then figure out which drinks have the highest amount of sugar to the lowest amount of sugar. You will need to pour them in that order. The sugar makes the drink more dense and allows the drinks to not separate.
•Then full your glass up about half way with ice and Pour the first drink to the desired height with the beverage that has the most sugar.
•Then fill the rest of the glass up and again pour the next drink that has the second most amount of sugar.
•Repeat until your have used the colors you wanted.

Disclaimer!!!!!!!:
This works best with three types of colored drinks however. If you use to many the layers may be to small and where they meet might blend.

DIY decorative keys

Have you ever come across the problem of not knowing which key goes to what lock? Or had the urge to by those cute decorated keys but just couldn't bring yourself to spend the money on it? Well here is your solution! If you have time to paint your nails then you have time to customize your keys!

First pick out the nail polish colors you'd like to use.
Then paint the end of then keys and flip it around and get the other side.
Then tape the grooved end to the edge of a table of some sort and let it dry.
(It is totally up to you if you want to add designs and really decorate them! You can use a sparkly nail polish or take thin pen nail polishes and make shapes or write words in them! )
Once it is dried take a clear top coat and paint the key again the same way and again let it dry.

You are left with cute customized keys that don't leave you guessing which is which!

How to Clean Makeup Brushes

Ok so for most makeup lovers out there it is a given that using makeup brushes is the best way to apply your makeup. However, sometimes for people buying the brushes and the makeup itself is a splurge all on its own. So when it comes time to cleaning your makeup brushes(which should be done!!!!), spending the money on the brush cleanser just isn't a priority. But I have found a way to clean your brushes at home without needing to go out and buy anything! This method has been tried and true and I recommend it!

What you'll need:
-White Vinegar
-Hot water
-Table Spoon measurer
-A cup

How To:
First, take your cup and fill it with hot water, then take a tablespoon of white vinegar and pour it in. Then set your brushes in and let them soak for 20 minutes! You will see a bunch of the makeup making the water look really dirty. You'll know it's working! Then after 20 minutes rinse the brush with hot, then cold water, and pat it dry! This method will clean and disinfect your brushes. Leaving your brushes soft and usable again while helping prevent acne because all the oils from your face aren't siting on it Anymore.

Good luck!
